Don’t Say It is 22-year-old L Devine’s latest release to join an impressive arsenal of pioneering pop that has been praised by fellow Brits Charli XCX, Dua Lipa and Lewis Capaldi and earned acclaim from tastemaker press including i-D, Noisey, NME, The Guardian, Nylon and Paper. She wrote Don’t Say It alongside Grammy-nominated producers Rogét Chahayed (Halsey, Travis Scott) and John Hill (Rihanna, Charli XCX). The London-based phenom recently completed a groundbreaking URL tour after her spring tour supporting Fletcher was cancelled due to the pandemic. Playing live to 1M people over two weeks on her Instagram, Twitter, Facebook TikTok and YouTube channels, the innovative tour was praised by Vogue, Buzzfeed, Rolling Stone and Billboard who called it “the most inventive livestream series yet.” Don’t Say It follows the January release of Boring People which was called an “instant earworm” by Time Magazine. Loaded with attitude, firmly rooted in reality but always with an edge, L Devine's songs are inspired by her life and what she sees around her. Her melody-heavy strain of intelligent pop showcases an unabashed young woman with an innate ability to craft instantly relatable sonic snapshots. There’s a natural spark between L Devine and her expanding following – the vulnerability of her songwriting is embraced by fans who are experiencing similar growing pains as they transition to adulthood. She further explores these topics in her podcast: L Devine's Growing Pains.
