According to The Washington Post, “Ray Chen can do pretty much anything he wants on the violin.” The intrepid young violinist lives up to his reputation by tackling Brahms’s iconic Violin Concerto with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. This brilliant, lyrical and playful work was written for one of the greatest virtuosos of his time, violinist Joseph Joachim. The musical exploit will be followed by the orchestral sounds of another great symphonist, Piotr Tchaikovsky, in the expert hands of German conductor Christoph Eschenbach and the London Philharmonic. Together, they will reveal the irresistible charm of the Polonaise from the Eugene Onegin opera, and the Dantean depth of the Russian Romantic Symphony No. 4.
