Nancy Carfrae - UIA

Biography

Nancy Carfrae - Round Table Coordinator, UIA

Nancy’s started at the UIA, back in the 1980s, as database and production manager of the UIA’s flagship publication, the Yearbook of International Organizations. Over the years she has been involved in just about all the UIA’s database projects: the International Congress Calendar, the Encyclopedia of World Problems and Human Potential, the International Association Statutes Series, Who's Who in International Organizations, the World Guide to Religious and Spiritual Organizations, the World Guide to Logotypes, Emblems and Trademarks of International Organizations, and the annual International Meetings Statistics Report.

Gradually she has moved over to the educational side of UIA and her main responsibility now is coordinating the UIA Associations Round Table project: in 2017 this means the 5th Round Table Asia-Pacific, in Chiang Mai in September, and the 11th Round Table Europe, in Brussels in November. She has presented the UIA's work to academics, civic councils, non-governmental associations, and intergovernmental bodies. Her knowledge of the UIA and its work is extensive, and is matched by her enthusiasm for the diversity of international association life.
