Bart de Pooter is the chef and founder of the Antwerp restaurant "Pastorale" - a two-star restaurant - ranked in the top 60 best restaurants in the world according wbpstars.com.

Endowed with a clear vision of the kitchen, of food and of tasting, Bart de Pooter is mainly guided by his taste for regional, ecological and seasonal products.

He bases his cuisine mainly on freshness, novelty and transparency while respecting the methods of traditional cooking.

Bart de Pooter also finds inspiration in art, trying to emulate it in his harmonious dishes. « Flavours » and « emotions » are the hallmarks of his cuisine. Bart De Pooter is also the creator of the restaurant WY* in Brussels and one of the Culinaria/Autumn festival most celebrated chefs, thereby honoring Belgian gastronomy.
