Surreal mosaics

Paying tribute to Belgian surrealism the inhabitants of the “René Magritte” quarter in suburban Jette (in the vicinity of the René Magritte Museum/house) took their inspiration from the rich surrealist pictorial language to create over 80 mosaic tiles which embellish the otherwise very gray pavement in this area. These mosaic tiles mark off the district where Magritte has spent 30 years of his life.
