Art in the city - Laeken : royally popular

Laeken is known as the royal commune. It is where the King of Belgium lives, as do his parents Albert and Paola, and even his sister Astrid. But Laeken is also a bustling district home to another palace - albeit less royal in nature - Brussels Expo and a football temple, the King Baudouin Stadium. The commune includes other neighbourhoods, less sumptuous, more popular and more turbulent no doubt, which hold traces of Brussels’ industrial past. In a nutshell, a concentrate of Belgium.
