Discover the city: guided tours
Archiweek • 05/10/2020 > 13/10/2020
Archiweek shines a light on contemporary architecture in the Brussels-Capital Region. From 5 to 13 October 2020, urban.brussels will offer guided tours of contemporary projects, seminars, workshops, conferences and exhibitions accessible to all. Architectural studios will also open their doors to the public. Advocating for quality of urban life during the pandemic and exploring the boundaries that will define our urban production sites, the curatorial team will present a selection of twenty contemporary projects in Brussels, open to the public on the weekend of the 10–11 October 2020.
Brussels Biennale – Neoclassic • 10/10/2020 > 18/10/2020
Omnipresent in Brussels, neoclassicism reveals the profound changes in urban space that took place throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. The Brussels Biennale - Neoclassic (BBN) wishes to honour this somewhat forgotten heritage over two weekends in October. On the agenda: guided tours of neoclassical interiors usually closed to the public, conferences, etc. It’s a unique opportunity to (re)discover some of Brussels’ architectural gems.
Brussels Biennale of Modern Architecture – BBMA • 13/10/2020 > 31/10/2020
Reliving Modern Isms is the title of the fourth Brussels Biennale of Modern Architecture. The event intends to highlight Brussels’ little-known modernist heritage. The biennale offers a unique opportunity to fully discover this architecture with indoor visits (Saturdays), walks and film screenings (during the week). The houses open for the occasion are remarkable. The owners, who will be present during the visit, enhance and add value to the experience by bringing their own perspective.
