The European Society of Association Executives (ESAE) is the voice of association leaders in Europe and a platform for senior-level association managers in Europe.
At its last General Assembly meeting held on 15 June in Brussels the organisation has appointed a new Board. The composition of the Board of ESAE is as follows: Florence Bindelle (European Issuers), Giuseppe Marletta (AIJA), Chloe Manhinick (IWA), Pascale Vandenbussche (Meilleurs Conseils Financiers), Wouter Lox (EUSalt), Beatrice Richez-Baum (ecoDA), Tanguy van de Werve (AFME), Dirk Bochar (FEANI), Attilio Caligiani (WIA), Stylianos Filopoulos (WIM), Maria Rosa Gibellini (EIF).
Florence Bindelle and Pascale Vandenbussche were elected for another term respectively as president and treasurer. Giuseppe Marletta , was elected as Vice President of ESAE.
During the meeting, the ESAE President, Ms. Florence Bindelle, presented the activities report and 2018 priorities. She commented that over the years ESAE has become a valuable opportunity for associations to do business, meet friends and colleagues, network and most importantly, expand learnings and professional education.
“At ESAE, we believe that your association plays an essential role in European society and policy-making. We aim to help you strengthen the important role of the sector and its people. We do this through networking, education, advocacy and community-building activities.” she said.
The ESAE committees’ chairmanship has also been confirmed:
- The EU Advocacy Committee - to share lobbying best practices, develop advocacy skills and advocate in favor of association leaders’ interest if ever required at EU level - chaired by Wouter Lox, EUSalt
- The Communication Committee - to create, collect, disseminate, and archive information - chaired by International Water Association, Chloé Mehinick
- The Event Committee, - to give advice and assistance on planning ESAE’s educational, networking and partner events - chaired by Fanny Senez, AIJA
- The Education task force, chaired by Beatrice Richez-Baum, ecoDa
The organisation has also unveiled its new website and scheduled activities for association managers in the coming months, starting with the meeting “How to be the best lobbyist?” on 18 September 2018 in Brussels.
