Cocktail culture has taken off in Brussels in recent years. Today, the capital has more than twenty bars dedicated exclusively to cocktails. The mixologists, true masters of the art, offer revisited classics, creations and secret signature mixes. Brussels even has its own Brussels Cocktail Week.

  • Arthur Orlans - high quality spirits sold online

    Located in a former fashion house in the trendy Dansaert district, Arthur Orlans looks like an English gentlemen's club and serves tailor-made cocktails in a cosy atmosphere.

  • Bar du Marché – terrace and takeaway cocktails

    A household name in the Flagey district, which serves up delicious cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere. Their little added extra: several times a month, a varied musical programme adds some rhythm to the venue's atmosphere.

  • Chemistry & botanics – Terrace (place de la Vieille Halle au Blé 41, in front of the Big Mama restaurant)

    These professional mixologists mix the many cocktails on the menu - which changes with the seasons - just like chemists. Don't hesitate to ask for a tailor-made cocktail.

  • Edgar’s flavor – terrace and takeaway cocktails

    Edgar is a Frenchman who was named after Edgar Allan Poe. He is passionate about cocktails and especially those based on agave spirits (Tequila & Mezcal). In his bar you'll find some of his own creations, but also classics with a personal touch.

  • Ethylo – terrace from 17:00 to 22:00, 7 days a week

    Ethylo is the brainchild of Romain Vervoort, a former Green Lab bartender. On the edge of Josaphat park, Romain transmits his passion with signature cocktails and great classics, made with a fine selection of spirits. Some of the creations are the result of genuine culinary efforts.

    “There’s something for everyone" is not just an expression for Sophie Fence and Leslie Moreau. They are the founders of Brussels Cocktail Week and are at the helm of the Green Lab, a cocktail bar with a raw steampunk decor and industrial touches. They offer a wide variety of gins and absinthes and the infusions and syrups they use to flavour the cocktails are home-made. 

  • Jalousy cocktail bar –  Jalousy Cocktail Collection by Alexis Mosselmans for delivery.

    Jalousy cocktail bar is the capital’s most exclusive cocktail bar and club. Indeed, there's no obvious entrance and a password is required to gain access. Once in, you enter the atmosphere of a hushed speakeasy.  speakeasy.

  • La Pharmacie Anglaise - terrace

    Enter a unique atmosphere that elegantly alternates between steampunk and curiosity cabinet. The bartenders serve classics and originals and are happy to concoct tailor-made creations. Make sure you try the Honey Badger (bourbon, yellow chartreuse, lemon, rosemary and ginger).

  • Life is beautiful - cocktails for delivery and takeaway & terrace 

    Life is Beautiful is the joint venture of two enthusiasts: Karoline Vlk and Harouna Saou. Harouna, who works behind the bar, offers a menu that is dotted with personal creations, but also contains great classics. The duo makes it a point of honour to work with products from artisanal distilleries and fresh ingredients.

  • Marcelle – terrace

    Art Deco bar with cocktails that hark back to the Roaring Twenties. The two friends behind the bar serve classics and signatures in a relaxed atmosphere. Their syrups are home-made.

  • Plumette – terrace

    You’ll find Plumette at the feet of the Palace of Justice, in the rebellious Marolles neighbourhood. This cocktail bar transports you back to Prohibition, in a décor worthy of the Great Gatsby! Behind the bar, a passionate mixologist switches seamlessly between classics, signature cocktails and drinks made to measure, according to your tastes. The little added extra? They have a lovely terrace with a view of the Palace of Justice!

  • The Modern Alchemist – cocktails for delivery and takeaway

    The Modern Alchemist is the place to be for lovers of rum (more than 200 references available) and homemade seasonal cocktails.  Christopher Ducat, Benjamin Deniel and Sébastien Bourdain's, happy trio of barmen, earned their stripes in the best cocktail bars in the capital. It's no wonder that The Modern Alchemist has become a real household name.

    In Rue de Rollebeek, behind the Estrille du Vieux Bruxelles, lies Vertigo. The historical character of the place adds to the charm of this trendy restaurant and cocktail bar. Did you know that Vertigo was once a guest house for horsemen? Today, it offers one of the finest cocktail menus in the capital.

  • Alice cocktail bar - Restaurant Rouge Tomate - terrace

    Alice is the cocktail bar of the Rouge Tomate restaurant. Located just above the restaurant, on Avenue Louise, Alice has a cosy and cocooning atmosphere, with alcoves and a smoke room. It is here, behind the bar, that Louis Weerts, mixologist, creates his signature cocktails. Alice also contains the soul of the former owner of the premises, whose first name inspired the brand.

    Chez ta Mère is the trendy creation of three youngsters from Brussels, Pierre Millour, Thuan Lam and Stefano Bedani. With its sleek decoration and elaborate cocktails, Chez ta Mère has quickly become a must-visit address on Place Fernand Cocq. Here you can enjoy homemade cocktails, some of which are served on tap. Chef Sean Vandeweyer (ex-Villa in the sky, Bozar Restaurant and Chalet de la Forêt) offers world cuisine and delicious brunches.  

  • Cipiace – terrace

    Renowned for its Italian dishes as well as for its unmissable cocktails and aperetivo italiano, Cipiace bar is a high-quality, trendy address. This little piece of Italy offers you cocktails with singing names: Fiorito, Rotolando Verso Sud, Mambo Salentino... All served in a typical warm atmosphere.

    Looking for a great place to watch the sun set, cocktail in hand? Then head down to the terrace at Cospaia. This cocktail bar and restaurant, on the located on the lively avenue de la Toison d’Or, is the perfect place for an outing with family and friends. Make sure you taste their signature cocktail made with gin, basil, lime, honey and pepper. Cheers!

  • Humus & Hortense  - meals and cocktails to takeaway (no terrace for the moment)

    Nicolas Decloedt has established himself as a chef "botanist" driven by a genuinely artistic approach that explores the whole plant world. He excels in creation while respecting the principles of zero waste and sustainability. He works closely with the mixologist Matthieu Chaumont. Leftover herbs and vegetables are used in herbal teas and juices that enhance the establishment's amazing cocktails.

  • Mizaru – restaurant Sanzaru – terrace

    Lam Boupinh is the master mixologist of Mizaru, the cocktail bar at Sanzaru. He creates experimental recipes, faithful to Nikkei flavours, and tailor-made cocktails. An experience, certainly, for your palate, but also for your eyes.  

  • The Poet terrace

    The Poet is a multi-faceted establishment. In its elegant and refined setting, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner, but above all, colourful cocktails, both classic and contemporary.

  • Yi chan  - terrace, takeaway options and delivery (meals and cocktails)

    In 2016, chef Yen Pham took over the reins of the "Bambou Fleur", the first Asian restaurant established in the Saint-Géry neighbourhood. The restaurant had previously been run by his parents. He renamed it "Yi Chan", which means "heritage" in Mandarin, and completely overhauled the menu. Yen, a chef and mixologist, proposes a modern cuisine - a perfect fusion between China and Vietnam - and a very creative cocktail menu.
