Brussels is an ideal destination for a family city trip in winter. There are countless activities available for parents travelling with their children.

There'll be no time for boredom this Christmas, what with the Christmas markets, walks, exhibitions, shows and brunches that Brussels has to offer! You don't know where to start? Don't panic, here's a small programme we've put together for fun-filled days with your whole family.

For those planning a festive season visit in December, the capital is pulling out all the stops! Have bags of fun at Winter Wonders from 26 November, and take your children on the merry-go-rounds or the Ferris wheel, before taking them for a skate on the ice rink!

  • Great exhibitions to escape the cold

Want to enjoy the magic of winter without feeling the cold? Head over to the Museum of Natural Sciences to see the T.Rex exhibition! Despite his fearsome appearance, this monster has some fascinating things to teach you... so, are you brave enough to take him on!

Then all aboard, destination Train World where you can visit the Orient-Express exhibition, which whisks you off in this legendary engine that’s as mythical as it is luxurious. These institutions are packed with fun and colourful pieces! Why not take your kids to see the GardeRobe Manneken-Pis, which houses all the outfits of the city’s larger-than-life hero? Don’t forget to greet all the other heroes that are dotted around the city, as you follow the comic book trail!
