At the Sainte-Catherine docks, Brussels' first port

This itinerary, aimed at children aged between 6 and 12 years old, will take you to what was one of the liveliest neighbourhoods of the Middle Ages, to discover the old port of Brussels and the traces it has left on the landscape. With a little imagination and the help of our guides, you can immerse yourself in a world of shipping, unloading bricks, stones and timber for building, with wooden squirrel cage cranes operated by children, fishwives whose language often leaves a lot to be desired, kegs of beer loaded on horse-drawn carts, all this in a neighbourhood that's very popular today for its beautiful public areas, its organic market, its contemporary art centre housed in an old power station...

Guided tours are available for toddlers, children aged 6 to 12 and pupils aged 12 to 18.
