The complicity that unites the young musicians from Baz Trio gave birth to a music that is nuanced, subtle and sincere. It is spontaneous, yet takes its time and doesn’t forget the importance of acoustic sound and silence. The trio’s sound is the result of the aesthetics of double bass player Basile Rahola’s compositions and pianist Wajdi Riahi and drummer Oscar Georges’ very personal interpretations. The performers’ diversity is a strength where each artist’s own inspiration enriches everything. This trio, whose cohesion gives birth to eclectic, original and melodic music, won the first prize for "Best Group" at the Mechelen International Jazz Contest 2018 and was a finalist in the Zilina International Jazz Contest.
