Behind the scenes of the Ommegang

Behind the scenes of the Ommegang

Chausses (hose), ruffs, dresses, farthingales… all are made by the in-house dressmaker. Giant figures, flags, weapons, etc. are meticulously stored away in the Royal Ommegang Company’s warehouses. Travel back to 1549 and learn how the spectacle is put together. You will experience the hustle and bustle of the behind-the-scenes preparations for the Ommegang, the procession held on the first Thursday of July and the preceding Tuesday.

A partnership between Itinéraires, sur les Sentiers de l’Histoire and the Société Royale de l’Ommegang de Bruxelles.
