Carolus V Festival

Every year, the Carolus V Festival guarantees a fascinating programme paying special attention to the heritage and history of Europe during the Renaissance. The name Carolus V refers to one of the most powerful rulers of the sixteenth century: Emperor Charles V. The festival offers a broad range of activities, such as readings, guided visits, exhibitions, activities for children, etc.
Already on the programme: the ‘Ommegang’ on 26/06 & 28/06, the Family Day on 02/06, and an exhibition about the crossbow at the time of Bruegel and one on Bernard van Orley.
