One of the most original ways to discover Brussels is to follow one of the comic strip mural routes. Not only is Brussels the capital of Belgium and Europe, it is also the capital of comic strips. Comic strip images are scattered around the city's streets, telling the adventures of iconic characters including Tintin, Lucky Luke, the Smurfs or Quick & Flupke. The murals were painted by some of the most creative comic strip artists and designers. Get a glimpse of Brussels humour, which responded to the problem of restoring certain walls in poor condition in an original way, and which have now become places of tourist interest in their own right. During the visit, the guide will cover the origins and the development of comic strip art, and the passion that Belgians have for it. The visit takes place in the centre of Brussels, where most of the comic strip murals can be found. Please contact the organiser if you wish to customise this tour, and receive a quote.
