The children from the “Le Colombier” Homework Support School, housed in the former Laeken town hall, have learned to recognise and love the rich heritage of their neighbourhood through the mediums of drawing and photography. Come and explore it with them at two places that are particular favourites of theirs: Laeken Bridge and Saint Anne’s Fountain, where you will learn about their history, anecdotes and legends. Material will be provided for this “urban sketching” get-together: folding chairs, drawing sheets, pencils, crayons, markers and supports, as well as refreshments. In case of bad weather, the Maison de la Création cultural centre will host the participants. The centre is likewise housed in the old town hall, magnificently restored for its centenary in 2012. A small exhibition of the children’s drawings and photographs will also be held there. In addition, you will be able to exhibit your own creation, which will, of course, be returned to you.
