Duo Marc Sabbah & Noé Inui

The artist MARC SABBAH (born in 1988 in New York) appears as a soloist and chamber musician in various formations. He is also a composer. Since 2012, he has been the solo viola at the Belgian National Orchestra. He won the 1st prize in the "National Amsterdam Viola Competition" and the First Prize at the "1st Rising Stars Music Competition" in Berlin. The First Prize at the "1st Manhattan International Music Competition" gave him the chance to play a recital at Carnegie Hall in New York. He has played at festivals all over Europe, in Israel, Ukraine, Russia, the United States and Canada, and has won first prizes at the Moscow Arts Competition, at the Boston international Horowitz competition and the Kiev Academy competition in Ukraine.

NOE INUI, “citizen of the world”, born in Brussels to a Greek mother and Japanese father and graduate from the Conservatories of Brussels, Paris, Karlsruhe and Düsseldorf, has won a string of major prizes, including at the Verbier Academy Festival, the "Jean Sibelius" International Violin Competition in Helsinki, and in Greece (Gina Bauchauer prize). A guest soloist for top orchestras from Europe, the United States, Japan and Brazil, he has also played with musicians like Martha Argerich and Leonidas Kavakos and works with Greek pianist Vassilis Varvaresos and German cellist Benedict Kloeckner ("Trio Bell’Arte") and with the viola player Marc Sabbah (as a duo in Brussels).

Founded in 2016 the ‘Sabbah-Inui’ Duo reaches us in particular through its creativity, the precision of its technique, the freshness of its performances and the sensitivity they exude. The programme includes works by Mozart, Spohr and Martinu.

On the programme: W.A. Mozart - Duo in G Major (Allegro, Adagio, Rondeau, Allegro), Bohuslav Martinu - Three Madrigals, Louis Spohr - Duet for violin and viola Op.13.
