Grondwerk - Lucinda Ra & Sofie Van der Linden

22/06/2018 - 24/06/2018

Child, worker, senior
Over the past few years, the intermittent collective Lucinda Ra has developed a very particular expertise around precarious living, psychiatry, and the social city. In Grondwerk, they are presenting a continuous performance, lecture, exhibition, studio, kitchen, and brass band. Over a 72-hour period, you will discover more about life and death in the welfare state from three different perspectives: as a child, as a working person, and as a senior citizen. You can decide what you want to do: will you join Lucina Ra for all three days or do you just want to attend a concert, tour, or lecture? Numerous guests will participate, including the visual artist Sofie Van der Linden, chef de cuisine Sara Sampelayo, scenographer Sven Roofthooft, and jazz musicians Giovanni Barcella and Jeroen Van Herzeele.
• The loose-fixed collective Lucinda Ra consists of an eclectic group of authors, directors and musicians. Lucinda Ra member Simon Allemeersch has performed at the Kaaistudios before, in De brievenschrijver/Letter home (2016), a collaboration with Globe Aroma.
