Jazzy Strings Quartet

04/11/2017 - 04/11/2017

Jazzy Strings, created by the guitarist Mario Cavaliere, is a group that loves gypsy music and two of its giants: Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grapelli.
On the violin is his son, Alexandre Cavaliere, a gypsy jazz virtuoso with a precocious, blooming talent. Indeed, in 1998, two great musicians, Didier Lockwood and Babik Reinhardt are in Brussels for the Django d'Or. A few notes will be enough to unveil the exceptional talent hidden in the hands of this violinist of just 12 years of age. They invited him to Paris immediately and Cavaliere's career was launched.
Bart Denolf, who was Toots Thielemans' and Adamo's double bassist, and Fred Guedon, originally from the Auvergne and who regularly accompanies Christophe Astoffi, complete this quartet. Their repertoire includes compositions by Django Reinhardt, but also jazz standards and their own numbers. A dream evening for jazz lovers, to be savoured in a cocooning atmosphere!
