Jean-Luc Ho

All credit to the young French harpsichord player and organist Jean-Luc Ho, who studied under big names such as Olivier Baumont, Blandine Rannou and Blandine Verlet. With his smooth, precise and subtle playing he is without doubt one of the finest examples of a brilliant young generation of French harpsichord players. For BOZAR he has put together a complete Purcell recital. As head composer of Charles II, and later of James II and William III, Henry Purcell spent the majority of his time bringing the musical heritage of the Renaissance and early Baroque, and musical influences from (primarily) France and Italy together in a unique, unmistakably English style.
