On Creativity, Psychiatric Vulnerability, and Madlove - the vacuum cleaner, Hannah Hull, Erik Thys & Inne Goris

23/02/2018 - 23/02/2018

People suffering from mental illness frequently face prejudice and discrimination. When they make art, their work is often confronted with a similar stigma. After the vacuum cleaner’s performance Mental, Erik Thys will argue that creativity and psychiatric vulnerability are closely related: fruitful minds are fragile minds. Thys is a Brussels based psychiatrist and president of KAOS (KunstAtelier OpperStraat). Also present are Hannah Hull and the vacuum cleaner – to discuss their Madlove-project – and Inne Goris (Huis).
