Panorama. A history of modern design in Belgium

23/06/2017 - 07/01/2018

An overview of a century of modern design in Belgium. Starting with art nouveau, the exhibition covers the social aspirations of the interwar avant-garde, Belgium’s ambitious participation in world fairs, educational experiments in La Cambre, the post-war design craze, and the promotion of modernist Belgian design by the Brussels Design Centre (1964-1986) under Josine des Cressonnières. Objects, graphic material, pictures, and original film footage show the multiple faces of modern design in Belgium.
