Portrait Gallery

Who are these characters within the rooms of the Museum of Ixelles? And what do they tell us? This playful tour will invite children to develop their imagination as well as help develop their understanding of the art of portraiture, from the Renaissance to the present day. At the end of the tour, the children will have discovered four portraits from the permanent collections in detail, and one portrait from the temporary exhibition. Complete the visit with a creative workshop where the children will make their own self-portrait with various accessories inspired from the museum's paintings.
