Shh Party at the Solvay Library

15/09/2018 - 16/09/2018

Shh Party at the Solvay Library

Would you like to meet the deaf community in a convivial and original way, as you explore an Art Nouveau architectural gem in Brussels? Then the Shh Party is for you! Participants will be welcomed in French and sign language, the fourth official language recognised in Belgium. The host duo, comprising one deaf and one hearing person, will cater for a mixed audience.
How can you communicate without speaking? Through drawing, smiles, gestures, a drink? The walls of the Solvay Library will serve as tools of communication between citizens of all ages and all walks of life, the aim being to knock down the barriers of spoken language.

A partnership between Arts & Culture, the Fédération Francophone des Sourds de Belgique, Patrimoine à Roulettes and Edificio.
