The Order of Leopold: a little known form of recognition…

This tour will introduce you to the Association of the Order of Leopold, which was created shortly after Belgium gained its independence. Currently located in a handsome 19th century mansion in Ixelles/Elsene, the Order of Leopold was officially established on 11 July 1832.
You will be able to visit the ground floor of this beautiful residence and learn about the history of the Order through an exhibition and short lectures (lasting a maximum of 20 minutes). You will also discover some of its illustrious members, its past activities and its philanthropic projects, updated for modern times. In addition, you will find out about the functions of the various national orders of Belgium and the ever-relevant social visions associated with them.

A partnership between E-Guides and the Association of the Order of Leopold.
