As well as to being excellent soloists, Jean-Guihen Queyras, Emmanuel Pahud and Éric Lesage all approach chamber music with the same passion. The three musicians know each other well thanks to their previous collaboration as a trio, but also as part of other groups. Their shared history enhances their musical cohesion, as demonstrated by the concerts they have given in prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall in London. At BOZAR, the trio will be performing a familiar programme which brings together pieces by Haydn, which, debuted at the time of Prince Esterházy’s death, marked the start of a new period in his life, Weber's solemn and romantic trio and, finally, a virtuoso piece by Martinu, written in a neo-classical vein.
