Exceptional Brussels women who shaped the capital

Brussels was and is home to an impressive number of extraordinary and influential women who have, and continue, to shape its history. Have you heard of, for example, Fem-L.A.W.? It's an association born in Brussels in 2015, which promotes women's rights and contributes to the establishment of true equality between women and men? Violaine Alonso, a lawyer, Chloé Harmel and Diane Bernard are at the root of this initiative and have drafted a commented Code of Women's Rights. To mark International Women's Day, discover some of Brussels' women who have made history through their actions and their character. Each in their own way, have overcome the barriers of their era and helped to lay the foundations of the feminist movement in Belgium. Join us as we revisit their exceptional stories!
