Café Metropole, located on the vibrant Place de Brouckère, offers high-end brasserie cuisine in line with Brussels’ tradition. The Café’s new menu revives the history of this building, which was founded by the Wielemans-Ceuppens brewer’s family in 1890. You can discover a superb selection of Belgian craft beers, have a cup of tea or enjoy our refined cuisine. Besides traditional starters and main courses found at brasseries, you can enjoy our renowned chef’s specialties: Homemade duck foie gras with port jelly, the Metropole chicken burger or even Nougat glacé with red berry coulis. Children are not forgotten either: the « Kids’ Menu » has a selection of courses including Roast chicken with salad and fries.

This luxurious brasserie welcomes its guests in an Art Nouveau environment in which the original decor has been kept; both the building’s interior and exterior have been classified. Guests can choose to sit either inside, in the intimate yet lavish interior of the Café, or outside on the heated terrace, which is open all year round, to be closer to the city’s hustle and bustle. Café Metropole has 80 seats inside and 150 outside, split into two separate terraces in summer.

Particular care is taken to ensure the great reception and service for our clients, as well as the quality of the products offered, which is a genuine reason not to fail the standard excellence of Hotel Metropole to which the Café belongs.

The exchange of the traditional and excellent know-how between the interior of the Hotel, the exterior and the Café contribute to the magnetism of this mythical place where the inhabitants of Brussels have met actors, scientists, journalists and politicians for a long time. In the heart of Brussels, Café Metropole is the ideal spot to meet up with clients, take a break from shopping or simply meet other people.
