Le Café de la Rue is a cultural venue with a history: it is one of the oldest cafés-theatres in Brussels. Located in Molenbeek, not far from the Canal, it still looks much like the old tavern it was in the last century. The local football derbies of the past (between ‘le Daring’ and ‘l’Union’) may be less of a hot topic nowadays, but la zwanze, the capital’s characteristic cocky sense of humour, is ever present and a Brussels-style good time is had here. That goes especially for this venue’s dinner shows, which regularly feature big names from the Franco-Belgian jazz scene. Dinner at 8, with music right after. Great atmosphere guaranteed, and reservations strongly recommended.
