Guillaume Tell

Become a modern-day Robin Hood! The Archers’ Guild is inextricably linked to the earliest history of the city of Brussels. Originally set up as an armed urban defence force, founder of the Church of Notre-Dame au Sablon in 1304, every year (from the outset) it participates in the Ommegang pageant. Charles the Fifth, the Count of Egmont and the Infante Isabelle have each in turn been consecrated Kings of Archers. All the Belgian crowned heads have accepted the title of Grand Master and have tried their hand at the art of archery. We invite you to come along for a first-hand experience, accompanied by a beer, coffee, tea or a soft drink, followed by an individual or team competition. A customized target is prepared for the occasion and the best archer will go home with a prize awarded by the Archers’ Guild!
