At the beginning of the 20th century in Brussels, there were still about a hundred breweries. After the world wars, industrialisation and the formalisation of tastes, there was only one left until Bernard met Yvan in 2002. Together they create the Brasserie de La Senne. Formatted and sweet beers give way to bitterness. Today installed in 4500 m² on the Tour & Taxis site, they have put technology at the service of their beers. During this visit, you will have access to the production area. An opportunity to discover how craft beer is made in such impressive production facilities. Finally we will end the tour with a commented tasting of four major beers of the brewery.

A tasty travel into the world of chocolate
A unique immersive experience in the fabulous world of cocoa and chocolate.
With the help of an audio guide, deep into this gourmet universe, walk through a Mayan temple, board Cortes' ship and discover how cocoa is grown in tropical countries and transformed into chocolate in Europe. The icing on the cake: a demonstration of how pralines are made at the end of the tour.
Take a dive in the universe of cocoa and chocolate, pass a Maya temple where cocoa beans have been consumed 5000 years ago, step aboard the boat of Cortez who imported the cocoa beans in Europe; discover how chocolate was being used at the French Court in the 17th Century and afterwards how the “praline” was crafted beginning of the 20th Century in Belgium. The cocoa culture and its transformation won’t have any secrets left for you. Demonstration, tasting and audio guide are included in the visit.
More than 600 objects are on display at the Choco Story Brussels museum.
It's a magnificent collection that shows how cocoa was consumed by the Mayans, and how a sweeter beverage was consumed at the Spanish and French Courts. You will then discover how cocoa is grown in tropical countries and how it is transformed into chocolate in Europe.
Finally, you'll learn how we sublimate this chocolate in Belgium through the creation of our delicious handmade pralines.

Every year, the Grand-Place turns into the beer capital of the world. Dozens of breweries, hundreds of beers, a cheerful crowd — and one very real problem: where do you start? Without guidance, you wander, you taste at random, and you miss the best of it.
That is exactly where Doctor Beer comes in.

Setting off from the city centre, certified beer sommelier Dimitri Ratkovic takes small groups into the Belgian Beer Weekend. Not another sightseeing walk — a decoding session. Which breweries are worth your time this year, which styles to taste and in what order, what lies behind a Trappist, a gueuze or a saison, and why Belgian beer culture is inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
The tone is pure Doctor Beer: educational and playful, never academic. You learn a great deal, you laugh along the way, and you leave with a little black book of addresses.
