A Belgo-Vietnamese brasserie, is that a first? First or not, that's what Thanh, from Brussels himself but with Vietnamese roots, has set up. In corner premises a stone's throw from Flageyplein/place Flagey, he has transformed a former pizzeria into a spacious, pleasant bar/cafe, somewhere in between an old-fashioned Belgian bar and a Vietnamese restaurant. The interior was designed by the Brussels architect Simon de Wrangel. Thanh himself, along with some capable acquaintances, did the work on the retro interior, with its exotic touches. His establishment is called Tigre because the tiger is a kind of symbol of Vietnam. Soon, moreover, you'll be able to get Tiger beer from Vietnam there.
