Research for higher performance under financial constraints has been a key issue for various organisations in recent times. Reviewing an organisation’s needs and capacities while fostering innovation and services to members has proven to be a challenge. The shift of public funding at local level, public procurement rules and research for EU funding are being closely scrutinised by organisations.
