MIXITY Awards

In Brussels, many organisations actively work on a daily basis to keep Brussels diversity alive and thus make an invaluable contribution to society. All that social engagement, fighting for the welfare of minorities, providing a platform for cultural cross-fertilisation, promoting meeting the 'other person’...

It’s about time we thank them for their work!  Therefore: the MIXITY Awards!

PREAMBLE - 2 approaches

  • Public events
  • Projects that honour work "behind-the-scenes"

PHILOSOPHY

The idea behind the MIXITY Awards is to recognise the best, in terms of diversity, associative, educational, event, cultural and sporting initiatives that can extend the reach of the Brussels-Capital Region as a cosmopolitan and open region.
A jury will apply the following criteria:

  • The innovative nature and/or original aspect
  • Particular attention to the interaction and/or bringing together of different publics and communities with reference to ethnic origin and/or sexual orientation, and/or religion, and/or people with disabilities, and/or nationalities, and/or different generations
  • Transmission of diverse values to youth
  • Project durability
