Since the early 1990s, Guillaume Sorel has forged his own path without regard to fads or fashions. His comics, nourished by the fantastical literature of Poe, Lovecraft and Maupassant, develop a distinctive style which stands out from the rest. Buoyed by a rare fluidity, he also surveys the lands of mystery through illustrations combining breathtaking composition and mesmerising colour. Released in late 2018, the beautiful book Les Chemins du fantastique presents his most recent illustrations.
