Claire Croizé and Etienne Guilloteau join two Polish dancers to explore the music of the Polish Radio Experimental Studio. Between the 1960s and 80s, composers such as Eugeniusz Rudnik, Elzbieta Sikora and Krystof Knittel created daring and visionary electronic music with a covert, subversive message, right under the nose of the communist regime. Pole Reports from Space refers to a work by Rudnik that adapted audio recordings of cosmonauts into a unique soundscape. Futurism and utopia, old school Soviet science fiction, activism and progressive thinking inspired Croizé and Guilloteau to create an exciting choreography that plays with the presence and absence of the body in electronic music.
• Choreographs Claire Croizé and Etienne Guilloteau have performed both individually and as a duo at Kaaitheater, with productions like Feu, EVOL, Mer- and Flowers (we are). Pole Reports from Space will premiere in Poznań during the NIEPODLEGŁA festival.
