During this subjective guided tour, artists and experts gravitating around the visual arts play the role of mediator and share their perspective on the world of John M Armleder or artists he invited to fill the spaces of KANAL with him.
Petra Van Brabandt is a lecturer and art philosopher. Her PhD was on David Hume. She teaches at Sint Lucas Antwerp and P.A.R.T.S. Brussels, and researches the relation between art and pornography. During this talk, Van Brabandt will argue that art and pornography can engage in a perfect marriage and she gives her perspective on works on display by Genesis P. Orridge and Carolee Schneemann.
