The collection of the Design Museum Brussels exhibits the landscape of plastic in the world of design starting from the 1950s up until today and consists partially out of a private collection, acquired by the Atomium in 2014, and partially of borrowed pieces and gifts. Going from material to objects and from objects to society, the permanent exhibition intertwines the cultural history of plastic design with masterpieces from renowned designers, prototypes and everyday objects.
