The next edition of Heritage Days in the Brussels-Capital Region will take place on 17 and 18 September 2016 and will have as its theme “Recycling of styles”.
In what way have various styles been reinterpreted over time? How and for what reasons did architects draw on the formal repertoires of the past? And what are the iconic buildings of these re-interpretations in our city-region? The 2016 edition of Heritage Days will highlight not only the “neo” and historically-inspired styles of the 19th century (Neo-Gothic, Neo-Classic, Neo-Renaissance, Neo-Roman, Eclectic, etc.), but also more recent styles such as Regionalism and Postmodernism.
In addition to the locations to be visited, many activities will be on offer throughout the territory of the region. Walking tours, cycling routes, bus circuits, exhibitions and more will afford you a new vision of architectural styles through the different municipalities of Brussels.
Free entrance and open to all.
