visit.brussels has launched a new "Association Bureau"

“The Association Bureau has set up and even if yhis office is running for just three months now, we have already received several requests from associations wishing to move their headquarters to Brussels” says Elisabeth Van Ingelgem, Director of the visit.brussels  Convention & Association Bureau. “Our role is to listen to their questions and than put them in contact with our partners and experts who can provide the right answers. Questions on tax and legal status for example, or human resources, or just general questions about life in this city. The service is extremely well received and we see that associations get the help and advice they need from our partners.”

All these projects are carried out with the collaboration and continued support of the strategic partners of visit.brussels: the Federation of International Associations based in Belgium (FAIB), the Union of International Associations (UIA), the Maison des Associations Internationales (MAI) and the European Society of Association Executives (ESAE).

Brussels heads the list of cities that organize associative events in Europe, according to the Union of International Associations (UIA).

One of the city's prime objectives is to meet the different demands of international federations, more than 2,000 of which have their headquarters in Brussels. In this domain, more and more projects sprout up regularly.

The goal of visit.brussels' new Association Bureau is to further improve the support available to international associations and to consolidate the global role of the Region in the work of these associations.
