On the outskirts of the city, the former village of Uccle became, in the inter-war years, a particularly desirable residential area for the inhabitants of Brussels. This guided tour illustrates the different architectural styles of the period and the decorative delights to be found on some facades.
Part 2 of this guided tour looking at Art Deco and Modernism takes us through the Longchamp district, which is less-well-known, but nevertheless has plenty of interesting heritage buildings, including some beautiful houses built by architects as their own homes.
