A Mecca of jazz, Brussels resonates to the sound of its festivals and the greatest performers.  

Though you can enjoy jazz all year round on the Brussels scene, it is in January that it takes on a whole new dimension, with its three must-see events: Brussels Jazz Festival, River Jazz Festival and Djangofolllies.  

In spring, it's the turn of the Brussels Jazz Weekend, one of the biggest open-air festivals, which gives you the opportunity to discover the city through music.  

During the summer, Brosella Festival and its folk and jazz line up takes place in the majestic setting of Osseghem Park. In the autumn, national and international artists meet at Marni Jazz Festival and St Jazz Festival, much to the delight of music lovers.

  • January + Jazz = Jazzuary

    Brussels Jazz Festival - 09 > 18/01/2020 

    The Brussels Jazz Festival celebrates its 6th edition in 2020. This event has become THE annual meeting place for jazz lovers in Brussels: rising stars and established names can be enjoyed in the exceptional setting of Flagey, the former Art Deco headquarters of the national radio station, located near the Ixelles ponds.

  • River Jazz Festival - 09 > 25/01/2020 

    The River Jazz Festival offers an amazing insight into the different trends that make up the current jazz scene. Like the Maelbeek River, the common thread of the festival, it crosses cultures and genres. Discover this unique kaleidoscope orchestrated by the skilful collaboration between three major concert venues in Brussels: Théâtre Marni, the Jazz Station and Senghor

  • Djangofolllies - 16 > 31/01/2020 

    This festival brings together high-class musicians, sparkling inter-generational musical encounters, tradition and innovation, all saluting Django Reinhardt's legacy. Djangofolllies festival will be held at various locations in Brussels and Belgium.

    International Jazz Day - 30/04/2020 

    Every 30 April, the whole city of Brussels pulsates to the sound of jazz to mark International Jazz Day International Jazz Day: bars, halls, museums, public spaces, unusual places... It's a perfect opportunity to discover the capital from another angle, both original and entertaining. 

  • Brussels Jazz Weekend - 29 > 31/05/2020 

    One of the world's largest free outdoor festivals is held every year on the last weekend of May in our capital. The Brussels Jazz Weekend offers an incredibly varied line-up in the city's main squares and in more than 80 venues and clubs. It's the best way to dive into jazz while discovering Brussels' different neighbourhoods!  Not to be missed under any circumstances!  

  • Jazz Jette June - 19/06/2020

    Jazz Jette June is a free jazz festival that marks the beginning of the summer season. Located in Jette, this institution will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. For the occasion, public squares, bars, restaurants, halls and cultural centres will move to the sounds of jazz in all its forms.

  • Festival Brosella - July 2020 

    For more than 40 years, Brosella Festival has been offering a unique programme dedicated to both folk and jazz. This event has a definitively Belgian character, thanks to the exceptional backdrop of the Atomium and the attention it pays to national jazz talents. It's a wonderful festival for families, thanks to the majestic park setting and its many activities for children!

    Marni Jazz Festival - 04 > 14/09/2019 

    The Marni Jazz Festival opens the season this year with a festival dedicated to the guitar. On the programme, international stars such as Kurt Rosenwinckel (US) and Gábor Gadó (HUN) will share the stage with Belgian guitarists such as Guillaume Vierset, Alain Pierre and Lorenzo Di Maio.  

  • Saint-Jazz Festival - 20 & 21/09/2019 

    The 33rd edition of Saint-Jazz Festival will take place in two of the most emblematic venues of the Brussels music scene, the Jazz Station and Botanique. International names share the bill with Belgian jazz musicians in a dialogue between generations and an exploration of the different trends in jazz. A must-see event for all music lovers!
