Fondation Jacques Brel Fondation Jacques Brel

Are you a fan of Jacques Brel who has always wanted to see Brussels from his point of view? The Brel Foundation organises many activities that immerse you in the life of the Brussels singer and composer: exhibitions in the museum dedicated to the singer, a cinema that offers four screenings a day, including his legendary Adieux à l'Olympia concert in 1966, etc. They also screen a documentary about Maurice Béjart.
The Foundation also publishes books on the artist. Driven by a desire to pass on this heritage to the next generations, it gathers, indexes and digitises a large number of archives related to the artist's work and life and also offers you the chance to view 16 hours of exclusive documents on Brel's life.
You can even stroll through the streets of Brussels and follow in the singer-composer's footsteps, armed with an audio guide that includes songs and excerpts from interviews, as well as testimonies from his family and friends.
A little extra bonus: the Brel Foundation regularly organises film clubs in the presence of France Brel, one of the famous singer's daughters.
