With the Sixth State Reform and twentyfive years after it was created, the Brussels- Capital Region has acquired powers related to tourism. Essential powers for developing the Region's image and economy.
The regionalisation of tourism has allowed the creation of a new actor dedicated to tourism: visit.brussels.
This new institution is the result of several existing actors (visit.brussels, the BIP and Europe.Brussels Liaison Office) being brought together. This unification takes place with the aim of rationalisation and the development of new internal as well as external skills. Over the next few months, this tool, indispensable for implementing the new regional powers related to tourism, will become an essential actor for developing and marketing the range of tourism products and events.
