How does it work?

In compliance with the rules of social distancing, each museum has established a maximum number of visitors. It is therefore strongly recommended, and sometimes compulsory, to book your visit in advance. For more information, please consult the web page of the museums you would like to visit.

    • All advantages included in the Brussels Card are valid during 24, 48 or 72 hours.

    • Your Brussels Cards allows you unlimited free access to all included museums during 24, 48 or 72 hours from the first validation (the first time your card is scanned in one of the museums). Simply present your Brussels Card at the ticket desk and it will be electronically validated by scanning the unique barcode on the card. Please note that on Mondays most of the big museums are closed.

    • The public transport ticket or the Hop on Hop off ticket is valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours from its first use in a bus / tram / metro or its first use in a Hop on Hop off bus. Your first use of the card doesn’t need to correspond to your first museum visit. This means you can activate your travel pass for example the day after you visit your first museum. Please note: to use public transport, you must pick up first your EventPass.

    • To benefit from the discounts, simply cut out the desired coupon from your Brussels Card booklet and give it to the person in charge where the service/product is available or show your coupons via your mobile screen or your Brussels Card application. Please show your Brussels Card at the same time. Discounts are only valid once and can even be used until 31 January 2023 included regardless of when your Brussels Card expires.

    • You must use your Brussels Card for the first time within a year of its purchase date. When using your card in the next calendar year, you should take into account that the list of museums and discounts might have changed! The list of museums and discounts is updated every 1st of February.

    • If you buy your caronline, you’ll receive an email that contains a link to a Brussels Card voucher with a unique barcode at the top of the page. This voucher can be used just like a Brussels Card, which means you no longer have to exchange it. Print off this voucher or keep a pdf of it on your smartphone. You’ll be able to make the most of all the card’s benefits as soon as you arrive in Brussels!
