Jenny Bragiel, MA is a program specialist with the IAFC working as the Volunteer & Combination Officers Section Staff Liaison and working on the IAFC’s Volunteer Workforce Solutions (VWS) team focusing on helping fire departments with volunteers. She specializes in marketing, communication and social media marketing. She is passionate about data and analytics. Ms. Bragiel manages the social media accounts for both VWS and VCOS. She wrote the Social Media Handbook and assisted in the creation of the social media toolkit. She has helped design and create numerous marketing materials and works diligently to market the resources of all VWS programs and the VCOS. She is also working on the statewide volunteer firefighter recruitment and retention program in Tennessee.
Ms. Bragiel has her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with an additional major in Russian from Michigan State University, and her Master of Arts in European and Eurasian Studies with a specialization in International Security Policy from the George Washington University.
Ms. Bragiel grew up in Michigan, where she gained a love for the great outdoors and for animals. She frequently goes on backcountry hiking trips and currently has two cats, Begemot and Calcifer; a dog, Brandy; and a fish, Fry. Her other hobbies include traveling to new places, fishing, gardening and skiing.
