General Conditions of Sale

Article 1 - Identification and generalities

1.1 "Tram Experience" is an initiative implemented by the visit.brussels ASBL [non-profit Organisation] (hereafter “visit.brussels”), with registered headquarters at Rue Royale 2-4, 1000 Brussels, in partnership with the Société des Transports Intercommunaux de Bruxelles (STIB) (hereafter “the Organisers”).

1.2 Reservation of a ticket for a “Tram Experience” evening (hereafter “the Ticket”) via visit.brussels’ reservation service (tramexperience@visit.brussels) implies acceptance without reservation of all the provisions of the present General Conditions (hereafter “the Conditions”) by the consumer (hereafter “the Consumer”).

1.3 The dinner usually takes place from Tuesday to Sunday at 20:00. Departure and arrival are at place Poelaert, 1000 Brussels (changes to this timetable can be envisaged with the agreement of the organisers). The service is provided by 1 chef, his/her assistant and 3 waiters and waitresses. A gastronomic menu will be served.

1.4 The fact that visit.brussels does not invoke a stipulation of the Conditions at a given time cannot be interpreted as a waiver of this stipulation.

Article 2 – Methods of purchase and use of “Tram Experience” tickets

The consumer does not have the right to rescind the purchase.

2.1 The reservation of a Ticket implies that any booking will give rise to either a written order from the Customer or a confirmation of the order by visit.brussels.

2.2 The Ticket is valid only on the date and at the time indicated for the amount of persons indicated on the voucher.

2.3 Unless otherwise stipulated by the Organisers, departure and arrival for a “Tram Experience” evening take place at place Poelaert. The length of the trip is +/- 2 hours for a 6-course meal and +/- 2h45 for a 7-course meal. The itinerary, given as a guide, is left to the discretion of the Organizers. The trip does not include a halt.

2.4 Inasmuch as an online contract for provision of catering and leisure services is involved, and in compliance with the Royal Decree of 18 November 2002, the Consumer does not have the right to retraction as provided in Article 47 of the law of 6 April 2010 on market practices and consumer protection.

2.5 With the exception of cases of force majeure, under no circumstances can the dinner itinerary be refunded, exchanged or modified, unless cancelled by visit.brussels. In the event of cancellation by visit.brussels of the dinner journey at the agreed date and time, visit.brussels offers the Customer the choice between postponing the date and time to another date and time or a refund.

2.6 In the event of cancellation of the Tram Experience due to force majeure (bad weather, epidemics, pandemics, demonstrations, acts of terrorism threatening the safety of visitors, disruption of means of transport or supplies for any reason whatsoever, earthquake, fire, storm, flood, water damage, disruption to the computer system or telecommunications, etc), the dinner may be exchanged or refunded, according to the following terms and conditions:

  • Cancellation at least 10 business days before the date of the dinner: exchange possible, total refund.
  • Cancellation at least 5 business days before the date of the dinner: exchange possible, 50% refund.
  • Cancellation within 3 business days of the date of the dinner: no exchange possible, no refund.

2.7 Smoking and/or vaping is prohibited in the Tram. In addition, any food or beverages other than that served in the Tram is prohibited.

Article 3 - Liability

3.1 visit.brussels expressly declines all liability with regard to any technical failures of the Tram that might make it temporarily impossible to organise a “Tram Experience” evening.

visit.brussels cannot, all the more so, be held liable in the event of delay, failure or interruption of the service due to cases of force majeure or events external to visit.brussels.

3.2 visit.brussels cannot in any event be held liable for the behavior of the Consumers during a dinner trip.

3.3 visit.brussels does not guarantee the punctuality of the Tram schedule.
